Today in Japan Obama bowed before the Emperor of Japan. Many people see this as an embarrassment for America.
The Kyodo News, which is basically the equivalent of Americas Associated press decided not to use photos of the President bowing before the emperor and instead used a nod and shake picture of him and the empress.
This wasn't the first time he let this happen. Earlier this year he bowed before the Saudi king.
Although I can see why people would see it as an embarrassment, I don't think it's that big of a deal. The president was just basically showing his willingness to except other cultures.
